AP MLA’s son booked for assaulting traffic inspector

YSRCP MLA Samineni Udaya Bhanu’s son Prasad was booked for assaulting a traffic inspector at Madhapur here on Monday evening.

Madhapur police, who registered a case against Prasad said the latter picked up an argument with traffic inspector G Rajagopal Reddy over a ‘U’ turn near Meenakshi Towers at Hitex, which turned violent and he assaulted the officer.

Following a complaint lodged by Mr. Reddy, a case under Section 332 (Voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of IPC was filed against Prasad.

Mr. Udaya Bhanu represents Jaggayyapeta Assembly constituency in Krishna district and his son Prasad is running a business in Hyderabad.
