Admission to social welfare colleges extended till May 25

Telangana Social Welfare and Tribal Welfare Residential Education Institutions Societies secretary R.S. Praveen Kumar on Monday announced that the last date for submission of online applications for admission into social and tribal welfare residential degree colleges for women and men has been extended up to May 25.

Candidates are requested to visit websites https://www.tswreis.in/ and http://tgtwgurukulam.

telangana.gov.in for online application and other details.

Admissions into BA/BBA/B.Com/B.Sc English medium courses are offered in 30 TSWRDCW colleges and 22 TTWRDC colleges (men and women). They will be made on the basis on common entrance test to be held on June 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A separate test for admission into Armed Forces Preparatory Degree College for women (Bhongir) will also be held on the same day separately from 2.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Application fee for general colleges is ₹100 and ₹350. Candidates who have passed Intermediate/equivalent in 2018/2019 with a minimum of 40% marks are eligible to apply

Candidates appearing for advance supplementary examination to be held in May/June 2019 are also eligible to apply. Parents’ annual income should be less than ₹ 1.50 lakh in rural areas and ₹ 2 lakh in urban areas.

Mr. Kumar said that there are five specialised colleges - College of physical sciences, Budvel; College of life sciences, Mahendra Hills; College of commerce & management, Sangareddy; and College of Social Sciences, Ibrahimpatnam.

Admissions to Class V

The Secretary also released the results for admission into V class in social, tribal, BC and general welfare residential schools for the academic year 2019-20.
