Administrative sanction for ROB proposal

The State government has accorded administrative sanction for the construction of a new road over bridge (ROB) parallel to the existing one at Falaknuma on the Secunderabad-Falaknuma broad gauge line, with an expenditure estimated at ₹47.1 crore.

An order was issued recently towards this, sanctioning the amount under the head of construction of bridges, ROBs, RUBs and culverts for the financial year 2018-19. Earlier, the proposals for the ROB was approved by the GHMC standing committee.

The ₹47.1 crore includes the ₹10.1 crore to be deposited to the Railways for the bridge in Railway portion, the GO said. The bridge will be built after calling for tenders in EPC mode.
