Five days after she went missing from a hotel in Hyderabad, actor Anjali walked into the office of the DCP West Zone here on Friday accompanied by a man, downing curtains on all the speculation about her disappearance.

‘Stressed out’

DCP G. Sudhir Babu said that Ms. Anjali claimed to be too stressed to speak about her vanishing act.

“She maintained that she went out of the hotel on her own rejecting reports that someone else was behind it,” the DCP said.

The statement of the actor was recorded by the police. Ms. Anjali came from Chennai to Hyderabad to take part in a film shooting. She checked into Daspalla hotel along with her uncle. While her uncle was in the bathroom, she walked out of the hotel on April 8.

The video footage recorded by the cameras in the hotel showed her walking out alone.

Meanwhile, the brother of the actor approached the Jubilee Hills police and lodged a complaint leading to registration of a case of missing person.

Even as the police were searching for the actor, she called up her mother two days later and said that she was fine. Finally, she turned up at the DCP office.
