Internet service provider Beam Fiber has said it will soon offer speeds of up to 250 Mbps.
The company, which was recently rechristened ACT Fibernet, will provide 100 Mbps for retail use and up to 250 Mbps for commercial usage as part of its rebranding plans. ACT Fibernet currently has about 4 lakh subscribers in the twin cities – a market share of 70 per cent.
The company that has a turnover of Rs.800 crore, will spend around Rs.10 crore on brand promotion.
“We are the leading wired broadband internet provider not just in the city but also the largest in the country,” ACT managing director Sunder Raja said at press conference held on Sunday.
ACT Fibernet had grown 43 per cent per annum in the past three years whereas other service providers, including telecommunication companies, had registered a growth of only three per cent, said Pramod Kabra, a partner in IVFA that has stakes in ACT Fibernet.
ACT Fibernet is also planning a Wi-Fi zone as part of a pilot project at Inorbit mall in Madhapur.
