Fire safety academy to set up more training centres

TUV Rheinland NIFE Academy, which imparts courses in fire safety, proposes to double its network of training centres to 200 in the next two years.

Fifteen of the new centres will come up in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. “We have already invested Rs.2.5 crore this year in setting up 30 new centres across the country and will be spending Rs.6-7 crore more,” Director of the Academy, M.V. Thomas, said on Wednesday. At present, the academy has three centres in Telangana and four in Andhra Pradesh.

This apart, the company intends to open centres in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, UP, Bihar and West Bengal.
