ABVP calls for college bandh today

More than 8,000 students participated in a run organised by the ABVP to demand the release of scholarships and reimbursement of fee in Shamshabad.

The ABVP sought the release of Rs. 980 crore that would affect 14 lakh students, who are waiting for the scholarship.

It also demanded that the government give dates to apply for fresh scholarships and for renewal of the same.

The students also wanted the government to give the FAST guidelines at the earliest.

The organisation has also called for a college bandh on Thursday to protest the delay in the disbursal of scholarships. The ABVP zonal in-charge, Keshav Soni, State executive member Mahender and others participated, a press release here said.
