Collector Sarfaraz Ahmad donned the role of a teacher and conducted classes to class X students of Zilla Parishad High School at Chelpur village in Huzurabad mandal on Tuesday.

The Collector made a surprise visit to the school and inspected the facilities such as toilets, drinking water, sanitary napkins for girl students and others. Later, he visited the class X students and talked about the importance of higher education after SSC examinations.

He also enquired about the ambitions of the students and their career choices. He informed them to accord priority to English language to excel in their chosen career.

Responding to a plea made by the Collector, MPP Erumalla Rani promised to supply The Hindu newspaper to the students to keep them up-to-date with current affairs as well as improve their English language skills.

Later, he planted a sapling on the school premises and inspected the quality of the midday meal. The Collector assured the school of sanctioning additional classrooms and other equipment required for imparting quality education. UNICEF Coordinator Kishan Swamy, Sarpanch Mahender, headmaster Anjeneyulu and others were also present.
