Two State government employees were sent to jail in separate corruption cases in Andhra Pradesh.

The Additional Special Judge for the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) cases, Hyderabad, convicted A. Mastan Reddy, an Assistant Executive Engineer of Panchayat Raj Department in Kurnool district and L. Leelavati, former junior assistant in Mandal Revenue Office in Rangareddy district in corruption cases who had accepted bribes from the complainants for doing official favours.

The judge sentenced Reddy and Leelavati to undergo imprisonment of three years and one year respectively, according to an official release here on Tuesday.

While Leelavati was trapped in 2003, Reddy was caught while taking an illegal gratification in 2005 by the officials of ACB.
