Two cops arrested for graft

Two policemen were today arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs. 5,000 for registering a theft case in the East Godawari district of Andhra Pradesh.

Sub-Inspector K Venkataratnam and head constable G Raja Sekhar of Nagaram Police station were trapped by ACB sleuths when they were accepting the bribe from a complainant for registering a motorcycle theft case.

The two have been arrested and would be produced before the Special Judge for ACB cases in Vijaywada, an ACB release added.
