Even as the Election Commission announced the much-awaited schedule for the byelections, Telugu Desam is stated to have finalised the candidates for seven Assembly constituencies.
The names were shortlisted at a meeting convened by party president N. Chandrababu Naidu with the senior leaders from Telangana available in the city on Monday.
They are: Gone Hanumantha Rao (Mancherial), Palvai Rajyalakshmi (Sirpur Kagaznagar), Bode Janardhan (Chennur), Mudasani Damodar Reddy (Huzurabad), Sikari Vishwanath (Korutla), Aleem (Nizamabad Urban) and Ch. Sudhakar (Vemulawada). Though the party has not announced their candidature officially, sources said it was almost a final list.
