Molestation case booked against school teacher

HYDERABAD: The Jeedimetla police booked a case against a school teacher for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old student on Thursday.

The incident took place on December 30, 2016, wherein the accused, Raja Rao, a resident of Amberpet, had reportedly touched the girl’s private parts.

After the incident came to light, the victim’s father lodged a complaint with the police and a case was registered. The accused is yet to be arrested.

Dies in road mishap

An auto-driver died in a road accident early in on Thursday morning at Addagutta under the Tukaramgate police station limits. Ganesh, the victim, was going in his three-wheeler, when an RTC bus coming in the opposite direction hit his auto, killing him on the spot. The incident took place at about 6.30 a.m., after which the RTC bus driver was arrested and a case was registered against him under Section 304 (A) of the IPC.

Unidentified body

A unidentified man hanged himself to death on a tree at Tank Bund in the wee hours of Thursday. The body was found near the Annamayya temple, which comes under the Gandhi Nagar police station limits. After the police was informed, the corpse was sent to the Gandhi hospital. An official said that no identification was found with the man’s body. A case was registered by the police.
