HMWSSB authorities, led by its top brass including Managing Director M. Jagadeeshwar and Director (Operations) C.V. Rama Baba conducted surprise inspections at Prakash Nagar and Manikeshwar Nagar sections here Friday.

At Prakash Nagar, when the manager (engineering) of the section could not produce detailed water supply timing schedule and plans Mr. Jagadeeshwar had asked for, a peeved managing director suspended him immediately for his lethargy.

He also instructed that a memo be issued to the general manager concerned asking for an explanation on the failure to supply water as per schedule, said a press release.

Solution

At Manikeshwar Nagar, he instructed officials to formulate a permanent solution within three days to keep a check on the ‘surcharge condition' of the septic tank there.

The General Managers concerned were also instructed to install a pump to draw out waste water from the septic tank to an existing drainage close by, the release added. Unauthorised constructions in the premises will also be removed.
