Pollution Control Board of Telangana, in coordination with Famous Premier League and Vajra Events, will host a Go Green Cricket Cup T-20 match between FPL XI and PCB XI on June 26 at Lal Bahadur Stadium here in aid of environment and tree protection in the State.
Raghu, member of PCB, and Ravi Reddy, CMD of FPL, informed the media here on Monday that the main motive behind organising the ‘Go Green Cricket Cup’ is to make Telangana a green State. “As part of this initiative, around 5,000 free saplings will be presented to the guests and the audience present at the stadium,” they said.
To spice up the event for audience, celebrities will perform and entertain the participants at the event, while anchors Lohit and Monica will make the event lively.
Small screen actor and producer Sri Ram, founder of FPL, along with several small screen actors will participate in the match.
