The Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam netted an income of over ₹20 lakh from the sale of various tickets for darshan of the temple deity, accommodation in the temple cottages, and prasadam in the last three days.
The temple, popularly known as Bhadradri, witnessed heavy rush on Saturday and Sunday owing to consecutive holidays. The famous shrine earned a little over ₹17 lakh through the sale of the darshan, special darshan, and other tickets on the weekend.
However, the hundi collections are yet to be counted. The temple authorities are expecting a significant income from the hundi offerings, particularly those made by hordes of devotees who thronged the temple on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi earlier this month.
The ongoing Vaikunta Ekadasi Prayukta Adyayanotsavalu would conclude on January 19.
