All-party meeting with PM postponed

HYDERABAD: The proposed meeting of an all-party delegation led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi on Monday has been postponed.

The Prime Minister’s Office informed the CMO on Saturday night that the next date for Mr. Modi’s meeting with the delegation will be communicated shortly. The Chief Minister had sought an appointment with Mr. Modi to press for a Constitutional amendment bill to categorise the Scheduled Castes. Mr. Rao also wrote letters to the leaders of all major parties in the State to be part of the delegation.

In view of the postponement of the appointment, the visit of Mr. Rao to New Delhi has also been rescheduled, a release said.
