It’s back. The third edition of Airtel Hyderabad Marathon this year will be held on August 25.
The 42-km Hyderabad Marathon 2013 will commence at 5 a.m. from People’s Plaza and pass through a loop around Hussainsagar, proceed towards Khairatabad, Raj Bhavan, Chief Minister’s Camp Office, Punjagutta flyover, Banjara Hills, KBR Park, Madhapur, Raheja Mindspace, ISB, University of Hyderabad and reach Gachibowli sports stadium.
Organised in association with Hyderabad Runners, the event will also feature half marathon (21 km) and marathon relay for four runners running 10.5 km each.
Hyderabad Runners will be conducting free specialised training sessions prior to the event. To help amateurs, designated runners from the society will be running along with them to encourage and ensure their safety, said Kali Kondury, spokesperson, Hyderabad Runners.
“This year we expect over 6,500 members to participate in the run and prizes will be presented in different categories such as men, women, seniors, etc,” said Kondury.
Care Hospitals will be extending medical facilities during the event. Ramesh Menon, Hub CEO-AP and MP & CG, Bharti Airtel, also spoke on the occasion.
