‘8,300 approvals given under TS-iPASS so far’

14 sectors identified to attract investment: TSIIC official

As many as 8,300 approvals have been accorded by the State government under its TS-iPass for setting up industrial projects till date, said a senior official of the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (TSIIC) here on Friday.

TSIIC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director E.V. Narasimha Reddy said this while highlighting the Telangana State industrial policy at Man’Exe-2018, the 14th edition of an annual conference, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in the city. The programme ‘Make in Telangana: Driving Manufacturing Excellence, through Efficiency & Competitiveness’ was held in association with the Telangana government.

Mr. Reddy said the upcoming Hyderabad Pharma City would be the largest pharma cluster in the world. TSIIC, he added, has identified 14 thrust sectors to attract investments. Volvo India MD Kamal Bali and senior president and country head, commercial business banking of Yes Bank, Gaurav Goel, were among those who addressed the inaugural session of the conference.
