60 detained in cordon and search operations

The Cyberabad police on Sunday conducted a cordon and search operation at Vadderabasthi and LBS Nagar in Sanathnagar. The police detained 60 persons, as they failed to produce valid identification documents while the teams seized 46 motorcycles, 10 autorickshaws and a car as the ‘owners’ failed to produce registration documents of the vehicles.

Around 250 policemen, including personnel of Special Operation Team and Armed Police under the supervision of B. Srinivas Reddy, in-charge DCP Balanagar, participated in the exercise. The police divided themselves into 10 teams and carried out the search while a few more teams cordoned of the localities and blocked the roads to prevent anyone from escaping.
