A three-year-old boy, Sai Charan, was crushed to death under the wheels of an APSRTC bus at Ibrahimpatnam on the city’s outskirts on Friday.
The bus of Ibrahimpatnam depot was going from IS Sadan side to Ibrahimpatnam when the accident occurred near Koheda crossroads. The driver was supposed to stop the bus at the crossroads. Instead of stopping there, he drove further. The boy’s mother, Dhanalakshmi, who wanted to get off there was worried.
“As she alighted the bus from the front door holding the hand of the boy the latter slipped and came under the left front tyre,” Ibrahimpatnam Inspector Mohd. Ghouse told The Hindu . The boy, hailing from Chintapally village, died on the spot. – Special Correspondent
