The Detective Department of the city police on Wednesday held a counselling session for 30 minor boys, who were caught for sexually harassing women at public places in the last few weeks. Suicide bid foiled

The Lake Police on Wednesday prevented two persons from committing suicide along with their children. In the first case, the police stopped a housewife from Bahadurpura from jumping into the water along with her four-year-old son. The woman had a tiff with her husband and left home to end her life. A police team spotted her at Tank Bunk. Lake Police Inspector K. Sreedevi counselled the woman and handed her over to family members.

In another case, B. Bhaskar, a home guard from Khairatabad, came to Tank Bund along with his two children to end his life. The man told the police that his wife and mother frequently quarrelled over some or the other issue and he was vexed over it.

Cordon and search operations

The East Zone police on Wednesday conducted a cordon and search operation in Kachiguda. Around 200 policemen drawn from various police units participated in the operation. The police seized 20 vehicles. A few persons who failed to produce proper identification documents were detained. Senior police officials supervised the operation.
