3 killed in road accidents

Three persons were killed in separate road accidents reported in the city. A fruit trader, B Balraj, (50) was killed after an unknown vehicle hit him at Malakpet road early on Thursday. Balraj was walking on the road to catch an auto rickshaw to travel to Gaddianaram fruit market when an unidentified vehicle hit him, the police said.

In another accident at Uppal, a retired employee Y Krishna Reddy of Alkapuri died after a DCM hit his scooter in the afternoon. He was going on the scooter along with his granddaughter.In a separate case reported at Moinabad on Wednesday night G Srinivas Reddy (45) of Madinaguda died after a vehicle hit his motorcycle.

Three commit suicide

A teenager Mansiha (15) hanged herself at her house in Shahinayathgunj on Thursday morning. At around 11 a.m her parents and brother left the house on some work and returned an hour later only to find the girl hanging to the ceiling with a sari. The family members told the police that the girl was depressed over some family issue.

In another case a ninth standard student K Swapna of Aliabad hanged herself to death at her house in Aliabad. At Saidabad, a 19-year-old P Shravan Kumar of Sankeshwar Bazaar hanged himself to death. Police was told that Shravan got addicted to alcohol following the death of his mother and was apparently depressed and might have ended his life , the Saidabad police said.
