3 held with swords near court

Three persons with two swords and baseball sticks sitting in an Innova parked near Nampally criminal court complex were arrested by the police on Friday.

The police said the trio was involved in different criminal cases.

Of them, Md. Amjad, 43, and Mohith Ali, 27, were allegedly involved in the murder of history-sheeter Fayaz four months ago at Madannapet.

The third, Syed Azmeri, 28, was facing a case of assault.

They were carrying weapons anticipating threat to their lives from members of the Fayaz gang.
