A 12-year-old boy was allegedly murdered and his body, with head crushed, was found at a flour mill under Langar Houz police station limits.

Police said the victim, a madrassa student, was a resident of Indira Nagar. Asif Nagar division Assistant Commissioner of Police K. Ashok Chakravarthy said he used to leave for the madrassa around 5 a.m. However, on Tuesday, though he left at about the same time, he returned shortly, only to go out again at 8.30 a.m.

“His body was found in the Andhra Flour Mills compound. It is an open space with a room. The body was found in this room and the head crushed to the floor. The head injury is four-inch deep. Now, we do not suspect anyone from the madrassa as it is far away. But names of some suspects have come up,” Mr. Chakravarthy said.

Police said there are no CCTV cameras on the flour mill premises. “A murder case has been booked and all angles are being probed,” Mr. Chakravarthy said.
