Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has said that he would not waste his time on another reshuffle of the Cabinet.

Asked if he was for another round of shuffling of his Cabinet, Mr. Rao said: “I do not want to waste my time.”

On assessing the performance of his colleagues, he said all of them were really working very hard.

‘Happy with performance’

“I do not believe in progress cards or giving ranks. It is wrong. It’s team work. I am extremely happy with their performance. Maybe some of my colleagues are seen more in press and a few with certain portfolios have more visibility. But, all of them are faring very well.

Queried about the defectors and leaders from other parties getting plum posts, the Chief Minister said it was a typical mix of the new and the old.

“Since we are a new state it is a mix of the new and the old. Ninety eight per cent of my team consist of those, who have been with me since inception of the party. Only one Minister has crossed over from other party. My MLAs and MLCs are all seniors in the party. In that course of action to attain greater political stability it is also very important,” he said justifying giving preference to some leaders, who joined the TRS from other political parties.
