Woman falls into Najafgarh drain, dies

A woman has died after she fell into a Najafgarh drain, the police said on Sunday.

The police said that a police control room call was made at 4.13 p.m. and they were informed that a woman had fallen into the main Najafgarh drain near Ghasipura.

They rushed to the spot. The woman was brought out of the drain with the help of a fire brigade team.

She was rushed to Rao Tularam Memorial Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

“The woman seems to be in her late twenties. Efforts are being made to identify the body,” said a police officer.
