Vote for party that can beat BJP: Kejriwal

CM asks people to vote for the party which can defeat BJP

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday appealed to all citizens to vote for “whichever party that can defeat the BJP” in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“In West Bengal, it is the TMC; in Tamil Nadu, it is the DMK; and in Delhi it is AAP that can defeat the BJP. If it was the Congress that could defeat the BJP in Delhi, AAP would not have contested in all seven seats,” Mr. Kejriwal said during the inauguration of the construction work for the six-lane Shastri Park flyover and two-lane Seelampur flyover in east Delhi.

“The credit for these two flyovers being built does not go to AAP government, but to the people who voted an honest government to power and put an end to the BJP and Congress rule,” said Mr. Kejriwal.

The Chief Minister said that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections were being projected as a battle between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi, “but in reality, it is a fight to defeat Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, who want to change the Constitution of India to stay in power”.

“We have worked very hard for four years. Mr. Modi tried very hard to ensure that we do not work by stopping files, conducting CBI raids and arresting our MLAs. However, we have managed to keep working. The Prime Minister is taking revenge on the people of Delhi, who voted for AAP, by stalling projects,” said Mr. Kejriwal.
