With the coming academic session, Delhi University will offer its students a chance to work in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The University has invited applications from students for a four-week internship in the V-C’s Office, housed in the historical Vice Regal Lodge. During the internship, students will get to contribute to policy-making, updating archives and handling other administrative works. In the first phase, the varsity has received over 5,000 applications for 50 positions, following which certain amendments have been made in the selection process to filter these. Applications have been invited from semester II and IV students enrolled in various courses at DU for the first phase of the programme. The select 50 will work from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on week days with officials of the V-C’s Office. Weekend duties may also be assigned.
The interns will work on projects that include ensuring readiness of colleges ahead of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) visit and policy making for upkeep of University guest houses.
