The Delhi police arrested two suspected terrorists associated with Islamic State in Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) from a bus stand outside Red Fort, a senior police official said on Friday.

P.S. Kushwaha, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) said that the arrested persons were identified as Parvez (24) and Jamshid (19). They are natives of Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The duo was boarding a bus to return to Jammu and Kashmir when they were nabbed. The official said they were using Delhi as a transit point.

Parvez's brother was a alleged terrorist, who was killed in an encounter in Shopian on January 26 this year, the police official added.

Parvez is currently pursuing his MTech from Gajrola, Uttar Pradesh, while Jamshid is a final-year diploma student at an institute in Jammu.

The were associated with ISJK, the terror outfit influenced by Islamic State ideology, the official said.
