Two students thrashed

October 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 07:45 am IST - New Delhi:

Two Amity University students were allegedly thrashed in a road rage case after they failed to give way to a Scorpio car. The victims were driving a Maruti Ritz car near Jamia Hamdard University in south Delhi around 9 p.m. on Thursday when they were stuck in a traffic jam.

According to the complainants in the case, a Scorpio car right behind them honked incessantly.

Murtaza and his cousin Muneeb tried to run towards a police post for help, but were allegedly chased and beaten up while other motorists stood as mute spectators.

After the assault, the Scorpio occupants drove away, which is when the victims called the police. They were taken to a hospital and treated for their injuries and discharged. The victims have provided the police the Scorpio’s registration number.
