Two accomplices of a young man, who allegedly murdered his wife's paramour at Anand Parbat a couple of days ago, have been arrested in Central Delhi. The police have launched a hunt for the main accused.

The victim's body was found on Friday afternoon. While initially it appeared to be a case of accidental death, circumstances of death indicated that it could be a murder and that attempts had been made to conceal the identity of the person by burning his face. The victim had apparently been hit in the head.

The body was identified as that of Anil, whose brother Sunil told the police that he worked on daily wages. Enquiries by the police revealed that Bhola, Madan Mohan and Ajay, who worked with him. The police carried out a search at Bhola's place but he was missing. Ajay's room was also found locked.

Suspecting their involvement, the police launched a hunt for them and arrested Bhola (35). At his instance, they arrested another accused Madan (27).

During interrogation, the accused disclosed that Anil used to visit Ajay's house in his absence and had allegedly developed illicit relations with his wife. Ajay once caught them in a compromising position, following which he planned to eliminate Anil. In conspiracy with Bhola and Madan, he allegedly invited Anil to a drinking session on February 2 and while he was in an inebriated state, hit him in the head with a heavy object. He died on the spot. They then tried to burn his face.

The police claim to have recovered the murder weapon and bloodstained clothes of the accused. Efforts are under way to trace Ajay.
