Two persons, including a foreign national, were arrested for allegedly supplying drugs in the Capital and other states. Police claimed to have recovered 6 kg drugs worth ₹24 crore.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Yadav said the accused have been identified as Pannalal alias Vinod, a resident of Dehradun, and Ema (24), who had come to India from Nigeria on a tourist visa in 2017. Police said the accused were arrested on a tip-off from a district park in Paschim Vihar, where Vinod was supposed to meet Ema to deliver the consignment on Thursday.

During interrogation, Pannalal told police that he has been in the trade for the last 15 years. “He used to get drugs from suppliers in Mandsaur and further supply the contraband to Nigerian nationals in Delhi. He had also supplied drugs to his contacts in Uttarakhand, UP and Punjab,” Mr. Yadav said adding that Ema was doing the same for the last two years and is illegally staying in India.
