Teenager commits suicide

A 17-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide at her house in Kirti Nagar here on Thursday, the police said on Friday.

They suspect the girl was stressed over her examination result.

Muskaan, who had taken her Class XII CBSE exams recently, went to the fifth floor of her house around 7 p.m. and hanged herself using a dupatta.

Her family stays on the ground and first floors of the building. She was a student of a private school at Bhondsi.

Her relatives said she rewrote her economics paper days ago. It had not gone well and she was not expecting a good score, they added. Her father Rajiv Chahal is a building material supplier.
