Taxi ambulance service launched


The drivers are medically trained to handle critical situations

Keeping in mind the increasing number of accidents, a start-up has launched on Delhi roads the country’s first taxi ambulance services with drivers who are trained medically.

The service was flagged off by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari here on Wednesday.

The launch comes in the the backdrop of India accounting for five lakh road crashes annually worldwide in which 1.5 lakh people died.

In the initial phase, Wagon Cab will launch 200 taxi ambulances.

The drivers have been trained by a medical professional to handle critical situations and possess in-depth knowledge of first aid.
