Students of the Rani Jhansi Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Delhi’s Tughlaqabad are being treated at the ESIC hospital in Delhi after they complained of irritation in eyes, with some even fainting after a gas leak from a nearby depot.
Following a call received at around 7:30 a.m. about a chemical leakage at a depot in the customs area of Tughlaqabad, medical, police, and National Disaster Response Force teams reached the spot. Picture shows NDRF personnel at the spot.

Relatives of the schoolchildren wait anxiously outside the ESIC hospital in Delhi. Some of the students have been discharged after treatment. Meanwhile, the school has been temporarily shut.
Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia visited the students admitted to the Batra Hospital. “Have spoken to the Union Health Minister. He has created a team of doctors under AIIMS to ensure relevant care in case of any emergency," Mr. Sisodia said.
