A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her stepfather in Outer Delhi’s Aman Vihar, the police said on Monday.
The accused has been arrested and booked by the police under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act.
In her complaint, the girl stated that her stepfather had been molesting her over a period of time. He allegedly raped her recently and stabbed her with a knife when she resisted.
She left home after the incident and started living with her cousin. She narrated the incident to her mother on Sunday. The incident was then reported to the police.
The girl has been sent for counselling by an NGO, the officer added. — PTI
