Congress president Sonia Gandhi, vice-president Rahul Gandhi, six of the party’s Chief Ministers from different States in addition to several other senior leaders will campaign for the party in the forthcoming Assembly polls in the Capital, the party declared on Sunday.
While Ms. Gandhi will address one rally, Mr. Rahul Gandhi will address two rallies besides doing a road-show in Delhi where the Congress is trying to increase its numbers in the Assembly even as the opposition BJP and AAP have ruled them out of contest. They will also be joined by star campaigners including Khushboo and Raj Babbar.
Dates of the rallies and the venues are yet to be finalised but, as per a senior leader, the party intends to intensify its campaign between January 25 and February 5 through as many as 150 public meetings.
