Parts not in showroom but available in Sotiganj

There are reports that around two months ago, an owner of luxury car reached Sotiganj automobile market from Delhi after the showroom in Delhi was unavailable to arrange the part missing in the car. Interestingly the owner found it in Sotiganj and went back Delhi with the part.

No takers of vehicles stolen from Meerut

The shop owners at Sotiganj always maintain that no car or bike stolen from the city should be brought to the market. The vehicles from other States are easy to dispose due to delay in police action. If the vehicle is local, chances of being caught are high.

What shop owners claim?

Cars dismantled at Sotiganj are all purchased from insurances companies. The cars damaged in accidents are purchased. It is like recycling the garbage.

They take out the reusable parts from the damaged cars and sell it. They have all the required documents of the purchased car. However, regular police raids bring bad name to the market.

Every day 20 vehicles get dismantled in the market

There are around 1,000 shops, 100 godowns and more than 350 contractors working in the market. Every day, around 20 stolen vehicles that include two-and four-wheelers are brought to the market by contractors.
