A district consumer disputes redressal forum here has directed a solar panel dealer to compensate a complainant by paying over ₹1 lakh after it was alleged that the company failed to a solar set for which the latter had paid.

While directing “New Dimension Eco Projects Ltd.”, the consumer panel observed, “It has been proved by the complainant that the opposite party failed to supply the solar set as promised in the advertisement nor did include the name of the complainant in the list of authorised dealer despite the payment of ₹1 lakh.”

The directions came when the panel was hearing a plea moved by Ajay Kumar Dhingra. The forum also directed the dealer to pay ₹15,000 towards the harassment caused to the complainant.
