The District Appropriate Authority (DAA) has issued a show-cause notice to Medanta Hospital for alleged violation of the PCPNDT Act.

The hospital has been accused of conducting echocardiology tests without proper registration.

It was disclosed at a meeting of District Advisory Committee for the implementation of the PCPNDCT Act on Thursday that a doctor at Medanta Hospital was conducting echocardiology tests without registration under the DAA in a violation of the Act. The show-cause notice was issued after a complaint in this regard was received at the Civil Surgeon Office in Gurugram.

As per State Supervisory Board, any specialist can use ultrasonography machine but the registration at the DAA is mandatory under the Act.
