Murdered teenager Junaid’s elder brother Shakir, who was under treatment at Delhi following an attack on him in a moving train this past week, was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Delhi after he was discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Trauma Centre here on Tuesday.
Pain in the back, head
Shakir’s father Jalauddin said he complained of severe pain in the back and head after he was discharged from AIIMS in the afternoon and was then taken to Apollo Hospital.
“Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan had come to visit us at our village when I got a phone from AIIMS informing that Shakir was being discharged. After he was shifted in the ambulance, he complained of pain in the back and head. The MLA intervened and got him admitted to Apollo. The doctors there are conducting tests but it’s nothing serious,” said Mr. Jalauddin.
Video footage
Meanwhile, the police have procured video footage from outside Asaoti railway station showing three men trying to drive off on a motorcycle in a hurry around the same time the murder took place.
Junaid’s brother Hasib, who was shown a footage on Tuesday, refused to identify the trio saying the video was unclear.
“Hasib was called to the police station and shown the footage to identify the suspects. However, the faces were unclear and Hasib could not identify them,” said his friend Aslam.
