A 46-year-old headmaster of a school run by the Municipal Corporation Department was found dead in his car at Shahabad Dairy in Outer Delhi on Wednesday morning. Hospital authorities informed the police that the headmaster suffered a heart attack after consuming excessive amounts of alcohol.
The deceased has been identified as Raj Singh, who was working at an MCD-run primary school in Swaroop Nagar.
According to the police, a local of Shahabad Diary noticed Mr. Singh lying on the driver’s seat of his Alto car around 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday. “The local resident tried to wake him up by banging on the door of the car and made some noise as the door was locked from inside,” said a police officer. The man then called the PCR . A team rushed Mr. Singh to a local hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival. “He suffered a heart attack triggered by excessive alcohol consumption. Hospital authorities informed the investigating team that the victim suffered 25-30 per cent heart blockage that caused his death,” a senior police officer said. Police have ruled out any foul play. “We recovered empty bottles of alcohol from the car. The deceased had no external injuries and the possibility that he was accompanied by someone at the time of death is very less.”
