School for underprivileged children inaugurated

Initiative to provide computer training

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation in collaboration with the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) inaugurated a special school for underprivileged children under the Pari Chowk metro station on Saturday.

The school, called “BIMTECH Vidya Kendra” will provide education and life skills training to children belonging to the economically weaker sections. The school will especially concentrate on providing education to children of migrant labourers, An NMRC spokesperson added.

Help earn livelihood

“The initiative will also provide training in computer skills to young girls who have completed schooling or college and belong to poor families. The training will help in providing them necessary skills required to earn their livelihood,” the NMRC official added.

The officials also added that the students will not be charged any fee to attend the school, or for books.
