The Supreme Court on Monday asked the Delhi Jal Board to file a report giving details of functional and under-construction sewage plants for curbing release of untreated waste in Yamuna in the Capital.

The apex court asked the Chief Engineer of the DJB, which deals with the sewage treatment plants in the Capital, to submit a status report with regard to the interceptor sewage system after approval from the department head.

The Bench also asked the DJB to give details of the entire project and the progress made so far to ensure that untreated waste is not released in the Yamuna.
