A day after late politician N.D. Tiwari’s son Rohit Shekhar Tiwari passed away, his post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family for last rites.

A senior police officer said that Rohit’s autopsy was conducted by a board of doctors on Wednesday. The post- mortem report is awaited to ascertain the cause of death, police said.

Rohit’s house, which was sealed for investigation on Tuesday, has been opened. However, the room where Rohit was found unconscious is still sealed for further probe.

“CCTV footage of the night is also being examined. The statements of family member will be recorded,” the officer said.

Police and family do not suspect foul play.
