Rickshaw puller dies after man falls on him

A 60-year-old rickshaw puller died after a man, sleeping on the second floor of a building, fell on him in Sarai Rohilla, the police said on Sunday.

DCP (North) Nupur Prasad said the incident happened at 1 a.m. on Sunday when Ravinder (25) sleeping on the second floor of a building fell down on Madan Lal, who was sleeping on his rickshaw in Shastri Nagar.

Both of them were rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared Madan dead. Ravinder has got leg and back injuries, the police said.

Ms. Prasad said both of them were working in the same hosiery unit and belongs to Badaun District in UP. Madan’s son was also present at the spot and did not raise any suspicion. “The post-mortem report is awaited,” said Ms. Prasad.
