A restaurant owner was shot at by a group of men on Sunday night in north Delhi’s Inderlok following an argument over the bill.

The police have identified and arrested two of the accused.

Restaurant owner Md. Salman told the police that the accused, including Sameer and his father Md. Nasir, shot him following an argument over a bill of ₹3,500.

Refused to pay the bill

The accused refused to pay the bill claiming it was inflated, created a ruckus and left the restaurant. They returned an hour later and attacked the owner.

Hearing the gunshots, other customers fled the spot. Mr. Salman was taken to a nearby hospital by his staff and is undergoing treatment.

Stating that a case has been registered, the police said they have obtained CCTV footage from the area to establish the identity of the others involved in the incident.

“The owner is also being questioned to identify the culprits,” said a senior police officer.
