Up to 662 shop-cum-residential complexes in north Delhi that are currently sealed will be effected by the latest guidelines for regularisation released by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation last week.
Based on instructions of the Supreme Court-appointed monitoring committee, up to 685 such properties in north Delhi were sealed since December 2017 for various violations.
Of these, the committee had approved the de-sealing of 23 properties.
The notification by the Building Department of the North Corporation follows amendments to the Delhi Master Plan approved by the DDA through its June 21 notification, to bring relief to traders. The notification allowed “local shopping complexes” as they are termed, to undertake their activity with certain relaxations on maximum floor area coverage.
North Mayor Adesh Gupta said that property owners may apply for regularisation till December 31 through authorised architects under the “self-assessment” scheme.
