The online registration process for admission into entrance-based undergraduate courses at Delhi University will close on June 25.

Students need to register themselves on https://ugentrance.du.ac.in . The application fee is ₹500 for unreserved students and a separate fee will be charged for each entrance test for which an application is submitted.

All entrance exams, except for music courses, will be conducted online and based on the MCQ format.

Apart from Delhi, the tests will be held in 17 other cities. Classes will commence on July 20. Entrance-based programmes are popular among students who have not scored very high marks in their board examinations. The Hindu takes a look at the courses on offer this year:

Business Management

The Faculty of Applied Social Sciences and Humanities is offering three programmes — B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics, Bachelor of Management Studies, and Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis). Selection will be based on the rank computed from the combined weighted average of percentage scored in the two-hour entrance test (65%) and the percentage scored in the Class XII board examinations (35%).

The questions will be based on quantitative ability, reasoning and analytical ability, general English, and business and general awareness.

There will be 100 questions. Each correct answer will fetch four while one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There is no penalty for unanswered questions.

Cluster Innovation

The Cluster Innovation Centre is offering B.Tech. (Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations) and B.A. (Hons.) Humanities and Social Sciences. The two-hour entrance test will carry questions on mathematics, reasoning and analytical abilities.

Education

Applied Sciences

The Faculty of Inter-disciplinary and Applied Sciences is offering a B.Sc. (Physical Education, Health Education & Sports). Admission will be based on the combined weighted average of percentage scored in the entrance test (50%), physical fitness test (20%) and sports proficiency (30%).
