Police prevent communal clash

October 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Heavy police deployment was made in North-East Delhi’s Seemapuri area after stone pelting between two families sparked rumours of a communal clash on Saturday, the day of Muharram. The incident was preceded by another incident when the group of youths from both the families staying in one of the blocks fought over a petty issue, during which one of the youths was thrashed by the rival family.

Though the matter was resolved then, the families clashed with each other in the wee hours of Saturday.

Six people have been detained for questioning.
